Cookies and storage

1. What the public website uses

Baleardata does not install advertising or analytics cookies. Session cookies protect searches, account access and administration.

Your browser may store scripts, styles and images in its cache to load faster. The browser cache and history are not the same as Baleardata installing a tracking cookie.

2. External map

The map loads images from OpenStreetMap through direct requests. Although this is not a Baleardata cookie, the provider receives technical data such as your IP address and the map area requested. See the privacy policy and the OpenStreetMap Foundation information. We don't confuse ‘no advertising cookies’ with ‘no external connections’.

3. Sessions and continuity

baleardata_customer is a session cookie for report access and form protection. Customer authorisation lasts at most seven days on the server. baleardata_admin is a separate admin session cookie; its authorisation expires after one hour of inactivity. PHPSESSID helps limit public cadastral searches. Access cookies are HttpOnly and Secure in production.

The browser stores your language choice. When checkout is enabled, sessionStorage keeps a purchase attempt identifier to avoid duplicate orders on retry; it belongs to that tab. Baleardata does not store card data in the browser.

4. How to control storage

You can delete cookies and data for baleardata.com in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent access or the continuation of a search once those features are activated. Deleting cookies does not delete downloaded documents, nor does it replace a request to the controller to erase your data.

5. If we add optional cookies

Before using advertising, analytics or other device-access tools that require consent, you will be informed of the providers, purposes and duration, and offered a choice to accept, reject or configure them. They will not be activated simply because you keep browsing. Baleardata does not currently install these tools.
